BRIDGE CITIES CHURCH OVERVIEW
In 2019, Barna Group released a study of the “Most Post-Christian Cities in the USA”. The Quad Cities was listed at #15 and in the top 5 in the Midwest. This has been a motivator for casting vision and assuring alignment and focus within the congregation to
be disciple makers in our cities. We are building partnerships with other disciple-making efforts in the area and focusing on disciple making training to plant micro churches in areas that have the greatest need. Our staff is truly a team who fights for unity
and is remaining focused on the Great Commission. We recognize that Bridge Cities Church must be a church for these cities and for all people. What God is doing through BCC is bigger than Sunday, bigger than Bettendorf, and will make an impact beyond our lifetime.
AVERAGE WEEKEND ATTENDNACE

OVERALL BUDGET (THIS FISCAL YEAR)
$1.5 million
OVERALL LONG-TERM DEBT
$3.5 million – This is the remaining debt from a 2020 building expansion. Our Lead Pastor is actively working with a Debt Reduction Task Force to eliminate this debt by the end of 2026.
STUDENT MINISTRY HISTORY AND OVERVIEW
In the last 10 years, the Student Ministry has had two leaders, one with an 8-year tenure followed by a 2.5-year tenure. BCC overall has undergone significant refocusing and a ministry culture shift all post-COVID. All of this has left the Student Ministry
in need of a quality season of rebuilding and alignment to the current BCC vision and mission.
Currently, our 6th-12th graders meet for youth group on Sunday nights which includes snacks, games, music, large group teaching, and breakout discussions. On Sunday mornings, the middle school students break into small groups during the sermon time of our main
Large Gathering. The high school small groups meet through the week.
The average youth group attendance is 35 students (6th-12th grade). Sunday morning middle school small groups average 40 students and high school midweek small groups average a total of 15 students. There are currently 14 adult volunteers, many who are parents
of current teenagers. Some of these volunteers serve only with small groups, others just during youth group, and a few cross over to both.
Bridge Cities Church has a widespread collection of families from the multiple school districts throughout the Quad Cities area. This poses some challenges with students relationally connecting but also creates positive opportunities for a diverse Student Ministry.

COMMUNITY OVERVIEW
The Quad Cities Area (QCA) is a unique joining of five cities in two states that border the Mississippi River. Davenport is the largest of the Quad Cities, with a population of 101,109. Each of the cities offers many larger city amenities but without the singular
concentration of one large city. Bettendorf, specifically, is the smallest of the Quad Cities but is the most affluent, with the newest and continual development of housing areas and expansion. People are very welcoming, and the largest employer is John Deere,
as its headquarters are located in Moline, IL. Other large employers include the Rock Island Army Arsenal, Woodmen of the World, Arconic, 3M, and several others that provide good-paying jobs around the region.
WHY PEOPLE LIKE LIVING HERE
We truly have four seasons in the QCA. Our springs bring new life, summers are hot, our winters are cold and snowy, and the fall is just beautiful. People love the Mississippi River, and there are a lot of community activities that revolve around the river.
The QCA is a very artsy community with some amazing museums and art districts. In Moline, IL, we have the Vibrant Arena at the Mark, which is an 11,000-seat arena that brings in big-name acts from great concerts, arena sports and more. Every year there is
a large marathon called “The BIX” and it brings over 15,000 people from all over the world to run. Davenport, IA, is home to the Minor League baseball team, The Quad City River Bandits, a farm team for the Major League Baseball team, The Kansas City Royals.
This is an easy area to fall in love with because the people are so welcoming.
