Aldersgate Church is seeking a passionate and skilled worship leader to orchestrate meaningful worship services that are Holy Spirit led, experiential, and life-changing. The ideal candidate is a passionate worshiper, talented musician, and a servant leader who can inspire others to engage in authentic worship.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee all areas of worship throughout the body of Aldersgate including adult, student, and children.
- Provide leadership for creating a culture that encourages people to grow in their practice and understanding of what it means to worship God.
- Recruit, train, and shepherd worship ministry leaders (paid and/or volunteer) through discipleship, teaching, and encouragement.
- Oversee the planning of weekly worship services in partnership with a worship planning team.
- Oversee the training and implementation of worship teams (instrumental, vocal, and media) for all worship experiences.
- Invest in raising the visibility of worship ministries throughout our church family and in the community through a variety of creative communication techniques.
- Assist in pastoring Aldersgate through hospital visitation, counseling, and nurturing our church family.
- Assume any other responsibilities assigned by the Supervising Pastor.
Qualifications
- A deep and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for worship.
- Proven experience leading worship in a church or ministry setting.
- Proficiency in playing an instrument (preferably guitar or keyboard) and leading vocally.
- Strong musical and vocal abilities with a passion for creating a worshipful atmosphere.
- Ability to communicate effectively with church staff, worship team members, and the congregation.
- A servant-leader attitude, with the ability to inspire and encourage others.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Experience with worship technology and sound systems (live mixing, ProPresenter, technical directing, etc.) is a plus.
- A degree in music, worship ministry, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
